Come to Me All Who are Weary and Worn
"Come to Me All Who Are Weary and Worn"
Oh dear child, you’ve stressed and worried and stayed the course and looked for comfort in so many places but me. Continue to rest in me, and let me carry you through the storm. I want your cares, your concerns, and your worry. I know what it is to sleep in a storm knowing I’m in the Father’s care and protection. Persevere and stay strong but find rest in me. Come to me all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest for your soul.
I’ll be honest and pull the curtain back to invite you into my creative process, as I hope it releases other creatives out of the creative block. For years I wanted to create this series, “Verses: in light of eternity” It starts with me painting with my eyes closed. Asking the Holy Spirit to reveal the hurts and pains inside me that need to heal and to heal others. I have no reference other than what I see behind my closed eyes.
Don’t quit, my friend. But you can rest. For if we do, we finish the race set before us, and the crown of glory and life of Christ will be revealed. May we live in the light of eternity.
Thanks for joining me on the journey, and hoping this piece is a reminder of hope and comfort!
